Blair Lukacs | Principal Crestwood STEM School
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Blair Lukacs as Principal of Crestwood STEM School beginning the 2026–2027 school year. Blair holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Education in School Administration from Gonzaga University.
Blair brings extensive leadership experience within Medicine Hat Public School Division, he is currently serving as the Principal of Herald School. His leadership has focused on strengthening instructional practice, building collaborative school cultures, and fostering meaningful connections with staff, students, and families. Prior to his role as principal, Blair served as an Optimal Learning Coach, supporting teacher professional learning and system priorities. He also brings additional teaching experience across elementary and middle school, including roles in literacy intervention and STEM-related programming such as robotics and visual communications.
Blair’s leadership philosophy is rooted in inclusive, student-centered learning environments that prioritize curiosity, collaboration, and strong instructional practice. As he shared in his application,
“I believe in schools where each student is seen through the lens of their potential as a learner and where the key challenge and opportunity of the professional staff is to structure the environment and learning to maximize each student's potential.”
